November 2013
Cody is getting bigger and messier! :) He isn't deathly scared of slugs anymore and now likes to torture, poke and touch them...yuck.
We had a wonderful thanksgiving with both of our families, andy and carla and stefanie johnson, and Sarah (hartmann) and Phil clubb.
We cut down our very first real christmas tree and it was so so much fun!
The boys continue to play flag football and love it. Evrett plays soccer. Cody wishes he could play both and it takes all our energy to keep him off the field!

We are having a....
We went to a special ultrasound place to find out a little early what we are having and were kind of shocked to learn it is a girl! The Ultrasound tech check 4 times with her in 4 different positions to make sure since we have so many boys at home :) It took a day or two for Ben and I to process it but we are all very very excited! All the boys thought it would be a girl because "Every family needs a sister."

Cody @ 18 months
Here's just a few quick things about our Cody Bear.
*You are a SPONGE. You want nothing more then to be one of the big boys so you watch and imitate everything they do. After one hour at their football practice you started squatting down and saying "hu hu hk" and running (hut hut hike). One night they were on the front porch playing ghost in the graveyard and chanting the song "one o'clock, two o'clock, etc." you watched them and when they were done you ran to their exact spot and did the chant too. So funny!
You say:
mama
dada
hello
hi
bye bye
colin
catch
hut hut hike
yes
this
whatisthis?
me me me
water
doggy
brush
Nice!
Wow!
uh-oh
more
animal sounds: quack, moo, cock doodle do, baa, sssss, oh ah oo ah, etc.
You wave, clap, dance, try to jump, run like crazy, brush your teeth, wipe your face with a napkin, use a spoon and fork better then any 18 month i know and you sometimes even clear your tray by stacking up all the dishes and pushing them off to the side. You love to go outside. you love to touch slugs and watch them coil up inside theirselves (a few months ago the site of a slug scared you to death). You love to play chash and catch. You don't play with toys very often but like following the boys around.
And you are destructive! It's all your curiosity but there was one day where you dumped a whole thing of glitter out all over the floor, drew sharpie on Grammy J's ottoman, sprayed window cleaner on the over and then began to LICK it off, and cut a hole in the quilt I had just finished making for cousin Cade! But....
You bring so much fun and joy to our family with your funny, stubborn, persistent, personality. We just love you!
