St. patricks day

Evrett was the only one who had fun for St. Patrick's Day this year. He got to go to a Preschool Party and a Playgroup party AND the weather was a crazy 80 degrees all week! Here are a couple pics of his fun:

Since it was on a Saturday, Colin and Brannon didn't do anything fun and green at school EXCEPT get told the Leprechauns would visit their house early in the morning and leave them treats. The only problem is that I WASN'T aware of this, had been super busy and had no extra money to spend so poor Brannon was in TEARS when he woke up to find everything very normal and boring on St. Patricks day. I felt even worse when all Colin wanted was green pancakes but we didn't have time for that with their 8:30am basketball games. But then we went to grandma & grandmpa's that night so everything turned out OK :)

I had a little fun the friday before getting my hair chopped off! It got so hot here that week (like up to 87 degrees) that I was dying with all my long and very very neglected hair. The only reason it had gotten so long is b/c it is easier and cheaper to just not cut it but I was suddenly really sick of it. It ended up about 1 inch shorter then I wanted and not really the "cut" I wanted either (I can't wait until we are done here so I can go to an actual salon!) But even with all that I am still glad to have it all gone.

Colin is too. When he first saw it he smiled and said:

"Mom! I love your hair! It was so straggly and messy before but now it looks so smooth. I really like it."

Brannon had no idea what he was talking about b/c he couldn't tell I'd even cut it. It took him about 20 seconds of staring at my hair to finally say:

"Did you cut your hair??" :) I think he takes after his dad :)

See...Colin was right...I was even getting lizards stuck in it's straggly-ness :)
