Party Planning

Evrett has been SO EXCITED for his birthday for months! He finally decided on a superhero party with his preschool friends and a couple kids from church. He picked out Batman invitations and worked SO hard filling out a few of the sections. Up until a couple weeks ago he had absolutely NO INTEREST in letters, let alone writing any! then all of a sudden he was asking all the time what letters were and trying to write them....and it is pretty dang good at it too. He wrote all the to & froms on the 10 invites.

He wanted a pinata so we spent a couple days making one together. We both had a lot of fun. He is so easy to do things with and gets so excited about everything. At first he didnt like how sticky and messy the paper mache was but he got used to it and did a great job helping.

Then he colored all the superhero logos that he wanted on the pinata all by himself. He is a really good colorer.
Brannon helped us out at the end a bit.
After that I told the boys to stop talking about the party so Evrett had in his head his birthday wasn't for another couple days. It was a really fun surprise when he woke up his birthday morning (not expecting it to be his big day already) to a bunch of decorations! We had his favorite Rolled Hotcakes for breakfast and he ate TONS of them.

We spent a family home evening coloring all those comic book hero signs hanging up in the background :)
