The end of the first quarter was the week after our primary presentation. I was exhausted and completely shut down for the week to recoup and TOTALLY forgot about the boys awards assembly. When I picked the kids up from school that day Colin was kind of grumpy and sad. It took a while for him to finally ask why I wasn't there when he got the awards. Both boys looked and looked and couldn't find me. I felt HORRIBLE and apologized and made them rolled hotcakes the next morning for breakfast to try to make up for it. Both boys got a whole pile of awards from reading levels to being good friends. We are very proud of them and this has been such a wonderful positive year compared to last year. The next day I got an email from Colin's friend's mom, who barely speaks English. She had noticed I wasn't there so took these two pics of Colin for me. Such a sweet heart and I"m so glad to have them.
