Evrett's turns 5!!

How in the world my little Evrett baby is 5 I don't know. I really don't. He will be starting kindergarten next year and it jsut kinda blows my mind. He sounds words out and plays computer games like a big kid. He gets his own snacks and helps with Cody. He has the BEST imagination ever and can entertain himself for hours in his own little world. I told him he would make a great story writer one day. He is very detailed oriented and remembers sequences in his stories and plots. They are mostly about fighting bad guys but it's very entertaining. The downside is that he doesn't hear what I'm asking him to do and I have to repeat a lot and he gets distracted by the tiniest thing. But I think some more structure with school will help that. He loves to learn and loves trying to read things. He can sound out simple words and enjoys doing his workbooks. He used his birthday money to buy a bike and is so so cute. He is very careful and cautious but loves riding it and gets a little faster each time. He has definitely been the "middle child" this last year with Cody and I feel bad sometimes but he has seemed to handle it ok. He loves to play games with his family members, loves hide and seek, and loves to wrestle with Ben. His favorite colors are blue and Green.

Evrett loves his birthday. He spends all year talking about what kind of birthday party he wants and what treats he wants to have there. He just loves that he has his own special day where he gets to decide and pick whatever he wants for the day. Colin and Brannon were planning his party to pass off their Faith in God requirement, Evrett insisted he wanted a Minecraft party. Then after Colin had made a bunch of stuff for it on the computer he changed his mind to the "Lego Movie" party. So the boys came up with some games and food and invites. WE passed them out and he was so so excited!! Then the day before we found out his favorite friend's brother had lice! Ahhh!! So we had to postpone the party last minute. He was dissapointed at first but didn't let it ruin his day. We took him bowling with the playgroup, ate lunch at costco, and the highlight of the day was having Ross and Melissa Quijano over for Nachos and Cake and presents. I am so grateful they come because they really were the only reason he had such a great day since his long awaited party didn't happen. They had the cutest story to go along with some candy treats that ended with the biggest gummy bear in the world!

Evrett we love you so much.
