Summer Fun

 Here is lots of random summer fun we had:

 Lots of Bike Riding

 And Evrett escaping the yard to run through the neighbor's sprinkler

 Playing BALL

Lots of Reading for Dad

 We went to the beach a few times with friends from church. We all loved it!. It is a short 15 minute drive away and a few dollars to park for one fun afternoon. We usually picked up some friends to come with us too.

We went to a Fire Station for playgroup with the Westchester Ward. 

 And had lots and lots of birthday parties to go to. This was a party for Evrett's friend, Lydia. It was a Princess/Knight party and all his preschool friends were there.

We spent some time working on projects

Went to Albert Ocampo's baptism

And to Damien's birthday party. This was a lot of fun b/c we were the only people to come from church, except a bunch of missionaries. Damien's mom and older brothers were baptized last winter and are a great family! We got to know lots of her other family members who were a lot of fun to be around. They are all hispanic and some didn't speak english well. A couple of the little girls really liked to play with me but they couldn't speak English so we'd talk back and forth in very broken sentences between our small knowledge of the other's language, but it was fun.

Ben's best friend from high school, McKay Demeester, moved to north chicago for a new job. We took him to our favorite pizza place, Freddy's!! and he loved it!

We had lots and lots of SUPER HEROES visit us.

 Some were in training for learning to fly.... (they are trying to make it look like Evrett's is flying with the fan blowing on his cape :)

Wolverine stopped by as well...

And we played with the Beemster kids a.lot. They needed lots of babysitting help.

All the playing worked up some big appetites as we are now eating through twice as much food as we did when we moved here. These boys are HUNGRY. Evrett loved his spaghetti so much one night he was licking the bowl clean and then showed me and said it was the BEST DINNER EVER.

We spent lots of time at grandma and grandpa's house which is always fun and relaxing, and cool with their A/C :)

 And swam A TON. Colin and Brannon "saved" Evrett a time or two when he fell in the pool.

 

It was a FUN summer!!!
