Cesar's Birthday

 We were invited to another birthday fiesta last week. Colin's friend from school, Cesar, was having a party and was nice to invite all of us. The kids had a blast eating pizza and running crazy outside. Evrett loved being included :)

 then they relaxed playing some wii

 and evrett "the baby" was whisked away by the girls to play

 he loved the attention :)

 I had a lot of fun too. These other moms are kind of the "cool" group of second grade moms at the school. They are always in a group talking and laughing everyday before and after school and they all have very nice kids. When I'd see them it always made me miss my mom friends in Philly. So when they invited me to come I kinda felt like I was in jr. high again being asked by the cool kids to hang out :)

 The funniest part was that they don't speak any English. Their teenage kids translated for me :) and they laughed at me alot for not understanding what was going on...and for eating the meal, Pozole, the wrong way :) It really made me wish I'd taken Spanish in college. They would be a fun group to hangout with more! The soup was delicious and she wrote the recipe down for me. I hope it turns out as good when I try it!

 Cesar's mom made the birthday cake and was very very proud of it.

Anyway, it has been a fun experience here in our little mexico town. I do get tried of our wierd city living sometimes and long for what I'd consider a "normal" house and neighborhood and friends but I know these experiences will stay with us forever.
