Their Summer Concert
They both got an award. Brannon got the "Character" Award. It is given to just a handful of kids in each grade for being a really good person all around. He also got the study habits and the reading award.
Colin got the High Achievement Award. It is also just given to a few kids in each class for high achievement academically.
I am very proud of them and their hard work, but the whole awards thing made me sad. Other then the two my boys got, they give out SO many awards that there are more getting awards then not getting them. So you will see 2 or 3 kids in a class that didn't get the award and the rest of the class did. I think it is ridiculous. They either need to figure out a way to give each kid a reward (at least at this young age) OR, even better, make it much harder to get the awards so only a few are getting them. My heart just broke for the few kids left without any awards.
