Brannon's birthday

Good ol' Branman is so easy to please! I had been so busy with so many things and didn't have much brain power left to think about a party so 2 days before we sent a text to some of his friends inviting them over for some games & cake and then we headed to the Dollar Tree. I told him he could have whatever party theme he wanted...as long as it was there. He didn't complain at all and happily chose THE AVENGERS and we lucked out with a bunch of cool things.

His friends came and we played a few "minute to win it" type games. One where you had to suck skittle up with a straw and move them to another paper design. A really funny Elephant trunk one where two kids competed with nylons filled with baseballs on their heads that they would swing back and forth to knock over waterbottles and then "junk in the trunk". Again, 2 kids compete with empty tissue boxes tied to their backs filled with ping pong balls. The kids had to shake their stuff until all the balls came out :)

After that we headed outside to play the flour/bubble gum game, have a water balloon fight, and a silly string fight! The boys loved it!

Then we made pizza pockets and headed to the local playground/splash park to play before going back for cake & ice cream.

His friends were: Calvin Moss, Calib Beemster, and David from school. It was such a great group of boys and the planning so minimal that it was a blast all around.

That evening we met up with Grandma, Jess, & Jon (Grandpa was out of town) for dinner at Red Robin. Brannon has always really wanted to go somewhere where they sign Happy Birthday!!! so it was a lot of fun.  If it's possible to be equally embarrased & excited then he was it! The food was yummy, Ben loved all the attention and questions my mom threw at him over his work stuff, and everyone devoured the mountain high mud pie ice cream dessert. Then we opened gifts and ended a very fun day.

We just love Brannon!! He is a very good big brother. Evrett loves him like crazy. He is also really really great with other people's kids....no matter their age, he has a fun time with them. He loves Lego guys and will carry them around forever. He is a strong little dude developing a nice 6 pack. His favorite food is still donuts and he loves pizza for dinner. He always seems to be most hungry about 30 min after we've served and cleaned up dinner. He has lost a couple teeth which he is proud of and he reads very well. Right now STar Wars and Captain Underpants are his favorites. He makes friends so easily wherever we go. Sometimes he gets lost is the shadow as the middle child but overall he does really good.
